Everyone’s path at Hybrid Strength Club will be slightly different depending on his or her current fitness capacity, goals, injuries and preferences. We offer “personalized” group classes, individualized coaching and education, and one-on-one coaching.

 

Group Classes

Our group classes are for anyone that has the desire to learn a more integrated and Holistic Strength Training* approach to achieve their health and fitness goals. Our passion for knowledge and taking the time to teach our students is at the core of our success in changing people’s lives. We understand that knowledge is power is the gift independence for anyone with a desire to be healthy and fit for a lifetime. When you’re armed with the right tools and know how to use them you will own everlasting fitness success and freedom.


Hybrid Philosophy

The bedrock of your success is in the education that you will receive through our Foundations of Strength & Optimization Course. This is a pre-requisite for joining our classes.

The 3 day Foundations of Strength and Optimization Course will provide you with the knowledge-base necessary to train alongside more experienced students. You will learn the skills, cues, and techniques necessary for attending our classes. All students will be tought the 5 Principles of Strength & Optimization and how to apply them to their bodies inside and outside of their gym training.

Please note: If you are an experienced trainee it will help take your training to the next level. In some cases, new students will find it beneficial to participate in our 1-ON-1 Private Coaching where we can address a wide variety of needs prior to starting our classes.

The 5 Principles:

 We take great pride in teaching the 5 Principles and believe they are an essential component for optimizing of the safety and performance of the human body and therefore are the foundation of our student’s success. Simply put, the 5 Principles of Strength & Optimization will become the backbone to all your future workouts and strength movements. The 5 principles will optimize your performance both physically and mentally, and you will see your results magnified ten-fold.  Sounds too good to be true, but you will soon discover its not. Below is a brief overview of our 5 Principles.

SPINE. Your spine and its safety and function is a big deal to us.  All the other principles are centered around the spine as a priority. We will teach you how to prioritize, brace, control, and protect it.

IRRADIATION. It makes you instantly stronger. You will learn how to apply it to your body and allocate the necessary motor units to perform given tasks. This is neurological law in the understanding of human physiology and our neuromuscular system. It was discovered by Sir Charles Sherrington in 1905-06. BREATH and its power. You will learn how to up and down regulation of the nervous system with your breath depending on the task at hand. For example, you would use your breath to down-regulate for your meditation practice and then again to up-regulate for maximal power output. The power of your breath is limitless and must be practiced for mastery. For more on breath, check out the link below.

THE LAWS OF TORQUE. By creating Torque in the hip and shoulder joints, you will increase their ability to stabilize and transmit power optimally and safely. 

THE MOMENT ARM provides us with some “environmental laws” of physics to apply to the human body and how it is affected by gravity and external loads.

Classes Overview

 
  • Professionally programmed
    & coached.

  • 1 hour long.

  • Intense & balanced.

  • Classes offered Monday to Saturday at varying times.

  • Class sizes are kept at 12 participants or less.

  • Some training practices used but not limited to, gymnastic strength training, Olympic rings, cardio/endurance training, running techniques and mechanics, kettle-bell endurance and strength training, barbell weight training, and much, more.

 

 

Structure

  • 15-minute warm up. You will learn how to properly warm up before each class.

  • 5-15 minutes of set up, coaching and instruction on that days programming

  • Approximately 30 minutes of training.

  • 5-10 min of clean up and cool down.
